Hey chickens!

Thanks for joining. This week has been anything but quiet. First thing's first... I have a new nail shape!! I am no longer squoval! I have yet up upload a design on this new shape, but I am very excited to - I hope you guys like! The last post I put on IG about my nails was the video of my nail tech taking off my bunnies... she was so sad about it! She took off the black bunny and pinky bunny relatively with ease, but the other 2 she had to put off until the last possible minute :') It's probably the best compliment you can get from a nail tech - that they really don't want to take off your nail art! Sorry, L, it was time... R.I.P Minnie-Moo, Fudge-Wu, Smudge-Do and Midge-Devil (the bunnies)

My friend and I went to see Fantastic Beasts and where to find them on the day of release... the first squeak of excitement happened during the trailers xD If anyone wants to find me on January 1st 2017, I'll be at the cinema watching the ASSASSIN'S CREED MOVIE!!!! Oh my ever loving Eevees! This is a thing! I love Assassin's Creed! In my opinion it's the best x-Box game, and the trailer for the movie looks epic and very true to the original material. After alll the trailers were done, the lights go down and the film starts... Eddie Redmayne is the most perfect human <3 The film, which I will not spoil for those who haven't seen it, is absolutely brilliant. It's a totally different feel than Harry Potter but you can still feel a sense of nostalgia by the music, and it does seem like you're returning to the wizarding world for more adventures. We loved it, and I hope you guys too. Also I'm a Hufflepuff and we're finally getting some credit for being awesome! :p

Fairies on nails. One of my clients (the one I always look forward to seeing), came in for her 4th week with me. She and I are both very pleased with how far her nails have come in the short time I've been working on her, and we decided it was time to celebrate with something a little more special. The lady in question has a thing for fairies, so I thought it would be a nice thing for me to paint some lovely pink fairies on her nails. Subtle, still, as I know where she works, but enough that she'd be made up... which she was. She also usually only goes for regular polish, as she doesn't believe Gel polish will ever actually stay on for her. I said to her that, timewise, it would be easier to make the fairies with gel, and we agreed to just do the ring fingers in gel and the rest in normal polish. The hope is that these gels will actually stay on, and we can reaffirm her faith in Gel polish! She's got her eye on 2 of my christmas designs, but they were done with gel. It would be amazing if these 2 stayed on for her, and she would feel more comfortable getting all gels so she can have her festive nails on <3 To give her the fairies, I worked over my entire break at work, but honestlt I was more than happy to. I love seeing her, she's a good laugh, and it was a pleasure to giv e her some nail art and take time doing it perfectly.

Yesterday was an awesome day to be fair, - I had more clients than usual, got to do lots of fun nail art and met some great new people who I look forward to seeing again. One lady is jetting off to Tenerife for a holiday, so we did some holiday nails for her! Pink was the obvious choice. Semi-jokingly, I said I could paint a silhouette of a palm tree on her nails. She was thrilled about the idea! I kind of wanted to see if I could go one further (just to see what would happen, really :P), and mentioned, again jokingly, that I could do a full landscape silhouette across her nails. "YES!" This is basically how the conversation went from there:

*Semi-joking* "I could paint your little hotel on one nail."

"That would be brilliant!"

*Still semi-joking*"How about the plane you're flying in on?"

"I love that!"

*Really starting to love this lady now*"And a cute little sun?"

"Aww yes!"

*I may have found my nail art model for my future YouTube Channel* "Obviously, no holiday look is complete without glitter ;)"

"Yes I want glitter!"

I was semi-joking with all of these, as I'm sadly used to clients not wanting nail art, but she was so game for all of it! I love her!! The best moment though, by far, was when I was painting in the windows on her hotel with my dotting tool, and the top window came out bigger than all the others. Immediate reaction?

"Penthouse suite!"

God, I hope she has a great time :')

I've never used stamping plates before, and I kind of swore to myself that I wouldn't as I love doing freehand, but my boss bought me some plates and paints by Born Pretty for the salon. I suppose it would be quicker, so I understand the idea. I decided to try them out... Holy wow is it hard! I have newfound respect for stamper artists - this is not easy to get right! I can get things to stamp in black and white, sometimes red works too, but the colours don't usually work out :( I will continue to try and get these down, but I thinik it's clear I am destines to be a freehander :') To be fair, I follow a lot of stamper accounts on Instagram, just to se their creativity, and I usually love the results. I may be messaging a frew soon to ask for tips!

In other news, my Pokemon Moon game has been dipatched today! I can not WAIT for wednesday when it finally arrives and I can get stuck into it. All the reviews look raging, but I still can't decide on my starter! I know it won't be Litten... just no... but I can't choose between Rowlet and Popplio! Rowlet's final evolution looks so incredible! Robin Hood was always my favorite sisney character, and's final form is basically an Owl Robin Hood! He looks bada$$! But... Popplio's middle and final evolution are basically the Pokemon version of me! I love singing, frilly dresses and I am definitely a performer... I don't know what to do!! Send help!

Final tidbit... guess who's been hired as a freelance website designer! I've done a few business websites for people before, but now I'm actually building up quite a good repetoire for my CV! The lady who hired me works at the salon with me, but she isn't hired by the salon - she rents the back room for her Beauty treatments. She is amazing, if I may say! I am designing her business website for her, and having a great time doing it! I hope she loves the final result! How cute is this? She gave me a present for the work I'm doing... an awesome phone case that lights up like a vintage hollywood mirror! Perfect for selfies ;) Thankyou, Miss Hollywood! (That's her name - I'll link the website in my next post, hopefully I'll be done by then!)

I guess that's all the news this week then. Thanks for joining again, really I do appreciate all your support. Leave your comment below which pokemon starter you love, and what you think of Fantastic Beasts!

Love,

Rainbow Jojo x
